One person who attempts to accept life as it comes is Pieter Roskam. This characteristic is also seen in Little Dragon Peppernose. Due to his open-minded and inquisitive nature, he had to travel the world after being born in the Netherlands. Among the many nice and compassionate people he encountered, he found a piece of his inspiration to write.
